My Current Assests

Since I am just getting my money blog started I thought I would start by logging my current assets.

1. Assets

Cash accounts $23,049.99
CD 2,608.59
Retirement 292,029.30
Taxable Investments 23,820.52

TOTAL $ 341,508.40


2. Liabilities $ 0.00


Hubby is 58 and works full time. I am 56 and have never worked outside the home. We live in our home that is paid off and I would guess it is worth about $225,000.00

    Lovely to have assets and zero liabilities. Would you get firmer figures on home value at Zwillow or similar on-line rating service? I'm guessing you've worked out plans for the future. Would you find it beneficial to write-out a 5 year financial plan? What changes do you anticipate? When you you anticipate DH will fully retire?

    I ask these questions in hopes of being helpful since answers permitted my choice to reduce work in 2014.

    Petunia...thank you for the welcome!

    Snafu.....I have looked at Zillow.com recently. Our property shows up but for us it is not real accurate because we also own the surrounding acreage around our home property, but zillow does not catch that. But, it is quite helpful!

    Ima.....It does feel great to be debt free. I am very thankful for that blessing.
